Danny’s focused expertise in hair and make-up, assures his suitability for working in the many sectors within the industry such as TV, film, theatre, celebrities & fashion.

Danny Defreitas has come a long way in a short space of time, because of his approach that no job is too big or too small, and his willingness to grow and learn through creative enterprise.

At the age of 18 he was already working with the TONI&GUY Global Brand, leading to work alongside international artistic directors involved in London Fashion Week and the TONI&GUY Academy London. This creative start for Danny gave him the taste and passion to propel himself into learning new and imaginative advances in hairdressing, using state of the art techniques. Danny was quick to leave his novice days behind him, taking part in several high profile shows and events such as FutureBeauty – Barbican Art Gallery, HairIdol Semi Finals – L’Oreal Academy, Big Fashion Wardrobe – Westfield London Catwalk Show.

He worked his way up to the role of Style Director and Head of PR at TONI&GUY Westfield, developing a keen interest in session work, through freelance commissions. This has enhanced his hopes and ambitions to strive for bigger and more innovative projects. Since leaving TONI&GUY, Danny has been extending his standard of expertise, firstly with a diploma from CBMA (Christine Blundell Make-up Academy); tuition given by leading industry figures, followed by work in the wigs department in the west end musical MAMMA MIA!, at the same time enabling Danny to take on hair and make-up commissions for fashion shoots, shows and events. Danny has established a sound knowledge and confidence in working with many different product brands, which he believes is the key to maintaining a professional and comprehensive work ethic. This has resulted in work with several high profile designers and brands such as HACKETT, JAMES LONG & NUTTERS OF SAVILE ROW.

Danny’s reputation is built on his skills for creating beautiful highly individualistic hair & make up, without compromising the clients desired look. Heavily influenced by the arts, theatre and media industries, his speedy expertise always aims to deliver client expectations.

Danny’s philosophy is that a great look lies in creating innovative, signature, and wearable looks unique to the individual. He believes the best thing about working with in this field is that it’s ever evolving, having the confidence to follow your passion to create something different. His ambition is to bring new standards in trying to achieve unparalleled perfection coupled with ingenuity by balancing ideas through art, nature and science.
